This is a trip to Siberia, to Altai. We are making our way to a unique journey exploring an unknown tourist route, overcoming passes, fords and impassability, admiring turquoise rivers and mountain taiga. From the Karakol valley, sacred for the Altai people, through the Terektinsky ridge we will find ourselves in the valley of the Old Believers – Uimonskaya. We will listen to Altai throat singing, dine in Altai houses, visit three museums, admire the highest mountain of Siberia and Altai – Mount Belukha, Krasnaya Gorka, turquoise the Katun River, the Kumir River, stay in hotels and tent camps, enjoy the unexplored corners of Altai!
The jeep tour is challenging for nature lovers, ethnographic insights, extreme sports and photographers. Some barriers are the 4th level of complexity in the sports car tourism classification. Age 18+. Sport training is required, we will spend several nights in a tent camp.

Itineraries
Day 1
Getting to know Altai
Arrival to Barnaul, breakfast and short city tour with panoramic view of the Ob River – one of the largest rivers on the planet. Transfer to Altai Republic. National Museum of Altai and Princess of Ukok. Walking on the bank of the Katun Rive in Chemal Village. Patmos Island with Orthodox Church and Chemalskaya Power Station.Day 2
Oroktoy Pass
Today we will climb our first pass, which is located far from the roads - Oroctoy Pass. We will ride through the mountain taiga. The mines of pink marble are located nearby, and we will see some blocks of it along our way. Drive to the Chuysky tract and visit the sacred Altai valley - Karakol valley. Terektinsky breakthrough
Today we begin conquering the Terektinsky Range, which separates the Karakol and Uimon valleys - the Altai and Russian Belovodye. We ride jeeps all day long with overcoming off-road barrirs. We ascent the plateau of the Terektinsky Ridge. Overnight at tents enroute.Day 4
Ford day
This day we keep conquering the Terektinsky Ridge. In the evening, we get to the Uimon valley, which is often called the Altai Belovodye. This is one of the most beautiful places in Altai, directly adjoining the highest mountain of Altai and Siberia – Mount Belukha. Accommodation in a hotel with amenities.Day 5
Museum day and Krasnaya Gorka
Our morning starts with meeting the dawn on the Bashtalisnky Plateau overlooking Mount Belukha. After breakfast – a tour to the ancient Verkh-Uimon village, where we will meet the Altai Old Believers and learn about the Central Asian expedition of N.K. Roerich, passing through the village in 1926. In the afternoon, jeep tour to the lakes of Krasnaya Gorka. Overnight at a tent camp.Day 6
Kumir River
We move to the valley of the Kumir River, where one of the most beautiful canyons of Altai is located - Maiden's Reach. Overnight at a tent camp.Day 7
Denisova Cave
Jeep tour to Denisova Cave - the most famous archaeological site of Altai, where the remains of a previously unknown subspecies of man - Homo Altaiensis, or Denisovsky man, have been discovered. Encoding the genome of our ancient ancestor has committed a revolution in modern archeology and changed ideas about the origin of man. Transfer to Barnaul.Day 8
Farewell to Altai
Check-out from Barnaul hotel at 4.30 am (without breakfast, as the restaurant opens at 7.00 am) Farewell to the group at the airport Departure to MoscowThe tour price includes meals (full board), accommodation (1/2 DBL), jeep transfers, guide service, entrance fees, visa support.
